Planning your visit to AVEX 2017

AVEX 2017 takes place from 12th to 13th September in Hall 11 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Getting to AVEX 2017:

The NEC, Birmingham is easy to get to by road, rail and air:

By Car

Thanks to it’s central location, 75% of the UK can reach the NEC within a three-hour drive. Satnav users should enter B40 1NT in your device and you will find clearly marked signposts from all motorways and major routes including the M42, M40 and M6. When you arrive at the NEC you are advised not to follow your satnav but to instead follow the AVEX show signs.

The NEC has over 16,500 parking spaces available and there are always staff on site to provide guidance if you need it.  Then simply jump on one of the free shuttle busses or take a leisurely stroll along the signposted footpaths.

By Bus & Coach

Coach services are operated by National Express and Megabus, with over 120 daily services from across the UK to Birmingham Airport. From here you can get to the NEC in minutes on the free air-rail link.  More information.

By Train

The NEC is right next to Birmingham International rail station. The NEC entrance is on the right-hand side as you exit the station, and clearly signposted.  More information.

By Air

The NEC is also just minutes away from Birmingham Airport (BHX) – which is very handy for international visitors and those on UK internal flights! From the airport, simply take the free and fast Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International railway station and then it’s just a short walk to Hall 11 following the signs. More information.

The NEC offers a selection of food and drink options for visitors including: JD Weatherspoon’s, Subway, Starbucks, Pasty Presto, The Oak Kitchen, Jimmy Spices The Damn Fine Sandwich Company and FCB Artisan Espresso Bars. More information.


There are a variety of hotels within the grounds of The NEC, including the Hilton Metropole, Ramada Encore, Crowne Plaza, Arden Hotel & Leisure Club and the Premier Inn NEC. More information.
